At LoveScience, we believe in the power of hands on learning, it’s not just about the science, our clubs and workshops foster a sense of curiosity, problem solving, team work and give opportunities to ‘safely fail’.
LoveScience began in 2013 when Abbie White, who had been a secondary science teacher for over 10 years, was suddenly faced with a family illness that meant she needed more flexible working hours to be able to take on this additional role as carer with 3 young children ..and pay the bills. As well as working part time, Abbie ran holiday science clubs to replace her teacher’s salary with the added bonus of avoiding worrying about childcare by taking her own children along!
What started as a short term venture took off and in 2016, Abbie decided to finally leave teaching for good and this became her family’s sole income. In 2018, we started to expand our team of club leaders and introduced our Under 5’s curriculum - Mini boffins.
Our franchise journey started in 2019 and we now run classes in Calderdale, Rochdale, Manchester and North Yorkshire.
As a franchisee, you choose the hours you want to work and the types of clubs you want to deliver. We started as a way to replace an income with flexible hours and the needs of everyone in our organisation are at the heart of everything we do. As such we have resources for you to run:
