At LoveScience, our purpose is to make high-quality, hands-on science accessible, inclusive and sustainable for children and the communities we work in. Our Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) approach reflects how we operate day-to-day, how we support our franchisees, and the impact we want to have long term.

Environmental Responsibility

We are committed to reducing our environmental impact wherever practical. Our workshops prioritise reusable equipment, low-waste activities and minimal single-use materials. We regularly review our activity design to reduce consumables, avoid unnecessary plastics and encourage responsible disposal and recycling.

By delivering sessions locally through our franchise network, we reduce travel distances and associated emissions while supporting local, community-based provision.

Social Impact

Social impact is central to LoveScience. We exist to spark curiosity, confidence and scientific thinking in children of all backgrounds, particularly in the early years when attitudes to learning are formed. Our activities are designed to be inclusive, accessible and confidence-building, with a strong focus on participation rather than “getting the right answer”.

We are committed to high standards of safety, inclusion and professional practice. All franchisees undertake annual training covering safeguarding, lone working and working with children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), ensuring our sessions are safe, supportive and appropriate for a wide range of settings and learners.

We actively support local communities by offering free or subsidised sessions to charities, community groups and organisations where access to enrichment opportunities may otherwise be limited. This allows us to extend the reach of hands-on science beyond formal education settings.

We also support our franchisees with training, resources and a proven framework that enables flexible, family-friendly business ownership, underpinned by clear expectations, fairness and ongoing professional development.

Governance and Ethical Practice

LoveScience operates with transparency, accountability and integrity. We maintain clear policies and procedures covering safeguarding, health and safety, data protection and professional conduct, and ensure these are consistently applied across our network.

Our franchise model is built on shared values, consistent quality and mutual trust, with systems in place to support compliance, quality assurance and continuous improvement as the business grows.
